The long-awaited Cayton Children's Museum in Monterey, California, has opened its doors, and the new facility is still in the works. Located in historic Colton Hall in Oldtown, the museum features a variety of galleries dedicated to the art, history, science and history of the Pacific Northwest and California for children. It also houses the Montery Museum of American Indian, where you can see a wide range of artifacts from the Indian Wars, the Civil War, Native Americans and more.

The museum is of great historical value and houses ancient artifacts, including World War II and medieval Torah scrolls, as well as a large collection of medieval and modern artifacts.

Highlights of the museum's collection include photographs by world-famous photographers such as Henri Cartier, Bresson and Henri Matisse. Other highlights include a large collection of paper works reflecting the diversity of port cities. The collection includes works from the late 19th and early 20th centuries as well as works of art from around the world. The Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles, California's largest art museum, celebrates works from 1875 to 1945.

Dinosaur lovers can visit the dinosaur garden outdoors and look for fossils, while railway fans can see a caboose dating back to 1942.

If you are travelling with children, you should hold hands at the Children's Museum, which houses a treehouse for children under five. The museum is best suited for eight and under-eight year olds, but older children can have fun in the park next door. Next time your family is looking for a cultural solution, choose one of these museums as your destination.

Look out for family days, when the museum offers free admission and activities to support the current exhibits, as well as a variety of special events.

The Southern California Children's Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The Discovery Cube Museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 7 pm to 9 pm, with special events on the first Saturday of the month. The museum is also open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, all museums are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and there is a special event on Tuesday and Wednesday. In addition to regular museum hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the DiscoveryCube Museum is open all day on Thursday, Friday and Friday.
